Continuing with the Khorne warband followers, the next up are a pair of harpies that I'd rolled. Now having already owned the set of the Citadel C48 Gargoyles range and not having any actual harpies, I've gone for two that look non stone like.
The gargoyle range sculpted by Aly Morrison was small (only 6 figures) and overlooked but quite varied. You don't see many painted examples of them unfortunately.

I've decided to go for a khorne colour scheme with mine over a more classical approach. This pair didn't receive any of the dominant chaos attributes.
So there's six beastmen to go plus the follower from the Other table which is what's up next which I'm really looking forward to!
Such a beastly Khornish warband....really enjoying following along!
ReplyDeleteCheers man! There's something special coming along next.
DeleteFantastic!
ReplyDeleteThanks Kym!
DeleteYou keep on discovering fantastic minis to me. Great paintjob on these, I like the colours you used here, really nice results.
ReplyDeleteGlad you like them Suber, thank you! I'll try to keep unearthing figures you've never seen. :)
DeleteThey look great Ed! You and Jon are making great strides into creating your warbands. I'm watching in awe man :)
ReplyDeleteYou've piqued my interest with your last comment about something exciting coming next. Can't wait!
Ah cheers matey! I'm having a lot of fun with it. Don't know when they'll see action though. Yeah the next addition is quite special, classical and not something you see too often. :D
DeleteExcellent work as always!
ReplyDeleteMany thanks as always Michał, and for looking!
DeleteI really like the red you've used on these. It's earthy enough to pass as fantasy yet non-magical flesh. This warband is shaping up really nicely.
ReplyDeleteThanks a lot Curis! Yeah it's pretty much the same flash as what I used on the temple dog. It's looking like I'll be using it a fair deal over the next few weeks/months as this Khorne force grows.
DeleteGreat idea to use the Gargoyles. I like using figures you have, rather than buying more.
ReplyDeleteThanks Sean. I was never too keen on the actual official harpy figures either. Thankfully some of the gargoyle range seem to double up well enough.
